We’re a group of local professionals who care about the details, the experience, and the relationships we build along the way. From the first walkthrough to the final cleanup, our goal is to make every client feel taken care of and every property look its best.
Owners
Brian McKnight
Founder and OwnerWith over 25 years of experience, Brian is an expert in the field of landscaping and outdoor living. He loves working outside and using his vast knowledge to enhance landscapes in Northern Colorado. Brian grew up in Fort Collins and studied horticulture at Front Range Community College. When he is not beautifying landscapes, Brian enjoys fly fishing and traveling.
Mary McKnight
OwnerMary grew up in Indiana and came to Colorado to study Global Tourism in 2001. Brian and Mary met and married and in 2012 and she started running the administrative part of the landscaping business soon after. Mary enjoys the outdoors and supporting the men and women of Turf Tamers personally and professionally.

AJ Pacella
Originally from Montana, this is AJ’s 2nd season with Turf Tamers. AJ holds a degree in Landscape Design from Montana State University and brings both technical knowledge and hands-on leadership to every project.
What does great service mean to you? - “It means doing the right thing even when no one is watching.”
How do you approach a job? -"I approach each job carefully making sure I have the full scope of the job. I often do a walkthrough with the client before proceeding.”
What do you enjoy about your job? - “I enjoy the smiles from the clients.”
What’s a fun fact about you? - “I enjoy camping and hiking.”

Nick Sellers
This is Nick’s 2nd season with Turf Tamers. Nick is originally from Tennessee and brings years of landscaping experience, along with his southern charm and strong work ethic.
What does great service mean to you? -“Great service is not only going above and beyond for clients, but taking the time on the smaller details to make to the property perfect.”
What do you take the most pride in when working on a property? - “ I make sure our clients’ properties stand out and look better than their neighbors!”
What do you enjoy most about your job? - “Getting to make our clients’ green space look the way they desire, maintain it, and keep it looking amazing.”
What’s a fun fact about you? -“I love soccer and watch it all the time!”

Josh Taylor
Josh has been with the Turf Tamers Team for 2 seasons. A longtime athlete, Josh always brings a strong combination of experience, reliability, and a positive attitude to the team, consistently contributing to high-quality results.
What does great service mean to you? -“A polite and approachable attitude, getting every little thing that the customer wants done, and completing the job in a timely manner.”
What do you take the most pride in when working on a property? - “Getting the job done efficiently and making the property look the best that it can be.”
What do you enjoy most about your job? - “Working outside, using my hands, and making properties look amazing.”
What’s a fun fact about you? -“I enjoy fixing up my backyard and playing board games!”

Luke Simms
Crew MemberA Fort Collins local, Luke has been a crew member with Turf Tamers for two seasons. His easy-going demeanor and friendliness make him a great addition to the team and a favorite of the clients.
What does great service mean to you? -“Great service to me means putting others above myself. And working with a team to achieve like minded goals!”
How do you approach a job? -"I approach a job with an open mind setting, setting myself up to overcome any obstacles or tasks presented to me!”
What do you enjoy most about your job? - “I love my job as it always me to be outside in the sun while also helping others achieve their landscape goals.”
What’s a fun fact about you? -“I enjoy boating in my spare time.”

Tiffany Broadhurst
Chief Administrative OfficerA Fort Collins native, Tiffany is dedicated to operational excellence and superior customer service. A proud graduate of Colorado State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she also holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is currently completing her PhD in Organizational Psychology. She enjoys watching sports and spending time with her family.
Holly Lorek
BookkeeperHolly has been managing the books for Turf Tamers for the past three seasons. With a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to financial accuracy and labor law compliance, she brings valuable expertise to the Turf Tamers team. Holly lives on a mini farm outside of town and enjoys spending time with her young kids and husband.
